Metallic beads have been heated and then sprayed with oxide tin. Higher Metallic beads are surface coated with gold and then sprayed with oxidised titanium. The gold gives a brighter finish.

Rainbow or AB is a finish applied while the bead is hot creating a rainbow effect on the surface
